Okay. When I originally threw this idea(Everyone Loves a Festival)out for your consideration several weeks ago, there seemed to be more than just passing interest in such an idea.
If anyone is still interested in this idea, let me know. I am thinking that if there is still enough interest and enough people who want to get involved with the planning and organization of an event like this, that now would be a good time to try to plan some sort of meeting with all of the interested parties and share our ideas with each other.
Wetumpka has several events that are done well each year. I’d like to try and do something different. For my idea of different, click on the link above and go back and read the original entry and you should have an idea of what I mean.

I would like to help with the planning. I have never done something like this before, but there is a first time for everything. :)I imagine with everyone's wrok schedule that the initial meeting would have to be in the evening? Let me know. I have a son is scouts, but we don't have any meetings (monday's)until after school starts in August. I have a troup committee meeting in July though (usually a Sat), and band camp starts the monday after the 4th. I work late on some tues and thurs. LOL Now…let's see what we can come up with. 😉 Seriously, I have several mornings that I am not very busy and could do some research, etc during that time.Genie Webber

Hey Thad,Awesome idea. I love indie bands and performers that aren't usually considered mainstream. Honestly it's usually better than what everyone else is listening to.
